Sample Tour 10 Days Lisbon and Madrid

DAY 1: Depart from your local airport for your overnight flight to Lisbon, Portugal.
DAY 2: Arrive in Lisbon where you will be met by your SJI tour manager and be taken on a guided sightseeing city overview tour of this wonderful UNESCO World Heritage City with its hills and many different neighborhoods. Then an afternoon or evening practice and check into your hotel. This evening you will have a welcome dinner in Lisbon.
DAY 3: In the morning drive to the famous Arrábida Natural Park and the seaside town of Sesimbra. Compete in a scavenger hunt requiring you to interact with locals known for their fishing then enjoy lunch at the beach before driving to Dolphin Bay for an afternoon and evening boat cruise including a stunning sunset and dinner.
DAY 4: This morning conduct a service-learning youth clinic. After lunch head to one of the local beaches of Lisbon to try your hand at surfing before returning to the hotel for dinner and Game #1 with a post-game reception to follow.
DAY 5:  Today you have a full day excursion outside Lisbon to Sintra-Cascais Natural Park for a fun day in both in the park and in the seaside city of Cascais. This park has long been considered one of the most beautiful places in all of Europe. Also make a stop at the westernmost point of continental Europe, Cape Rock. In the evening return to Lisbon for dinner and Game #2.
DAY 6:  In the morning drive to Madrid, Spain with sightseeing and rest stops along the way. After checking into your hotel, enjoy a Spanish welcome dinner.
DAY 7: In the morning enjoy a guided sightseeing city overview tour of the political and cultural center of Spain. After lunch visit The Prado Museum, one of the world’s greatest museums. In the evening play Game #3.
DAY 8: This morning you will take an excursion to the walled ancient UNESCO city of Toledo which is one of the most beautiful and historic cities in Spain. Take a guided walking tour of the Old Quarter and visit Toledo’s Cathedral and Alcazar. Later return to Madrid for a free evening.
DAY 9: Today will be free for exploring and any last-minute shopping in Madrid. In the evening play Game #4 with a post-game reception to follow.
DAY 10: All good things must come to an end. After breakfast this morning, transfer to the airport and board your flight returning you to the U.S.A. Arrive home with many unforgettable memories!
