Payments for Team Tours
Unless otherwise agreed, a $200 nonrefundable deposit per person must be received for tours before services will be reserved. It is recommended that deposits be made 4 months in advance of tour to ensure that there is no change in the cost of the tour. Final payment is due 60 days prior to tour and is refundable less a 10% service fee for 30 days. For any cancellations within 30 days of departure there will be no refund. We prefer that payments be made by check but for some tours we will accept credit card payments (via PayPal) that will include a 3% surcharge.
Airfare payment and refund terms will vary based on airline and will follow the exact terms and conditions of each individual airline.

Tour Prices
All prices are subject to change without notice due to currency fluctuations of 3% or more, changes in government and airline taxes and fees, and late payments by travelers. Upon receipt of final payment, SJI guarantees that the price will not increase.
Insurance
Post departure health and accident insurance for overseas travel for all athletes and team personnel traveling on an SJI tour will be provided by SJI. We highly recommend that everyone travelling with us purchase baggage and trip cancellation insurance for their protection.
Passports
It is the sole responsibility of each passenger to obtain necessary travel documents including valid passports and visas. Many countries require that passports be valid for an extra time period from the dates of travel. Be sure to check on the requirements for the country you are visiting. All airlines require that the name on your ticket be exactly the same as on your passport. Be sure to provide SJI with that name when making your deposit.
Air Transportation
Most airline tickets are nonrefundable once issued and these conditions cannot be waived under any circumstances. All participants must take note that the airlines require that the name on your ticket must be exactly the same as it appears on your passport. When completing SJI’s registration form, it is the responsibility of the participant to indicate the name that will appear on your passport.
Program Cancellation
SJI reserves the right to cancel or suspend a program as deemed necessary. In such a case, participants are given the choice of switching to a future session or a full refund of deposit and all payments.
Code of Conduct
SJI expects that all participants who travel with us in our programs to behave in a reasonable, responsible and appropriate manner that considers other members of the tour, the team and institution you represent, and the laws and culture of the country we are visiting. SJI reserves the right to remove participants from the group that are not meeting these expectations and behaving in an inappropriate manner and to send them home at their own expense.
Drug and Alcohol Policy
Any person caught using illegal drugs on a SJI tour will be removed from the tour at their own expense. It is legal to consume alcohol in most countries that are part of our tours at the age of eighteen. When you are travelling with SJI as a college athlete you will be permitted to make adult decisions on your consumption of alcohol. If you are travelling with your coach and team then you are responsible for adhering to team policies as well as the policies of SJI. SJI will not permit anyone to consume excess amounts of alcohol and to act irresponsibly as a result. It is the policy of SJI that all individuals and groups that travel with us to always be with others in the group or tour and not to be out own your own whenever we are not involved with tour supervised activities. SJI will not be liable for the misconduct of any individual or individuals involved in inappropriate behavior in other countries. Participants will be responsible for paying for any such penalties and fines. Such behavior can also result in removal from the program at the participant’s expense.
